The tweeters did a good job of sending out the word that version 6 of version 1 is now available for download from edelivery.oracle.com. I have downloaded and installed the RCU and guess what?, IT WORKED! Yippee. It’s definitely time to start recommending version 11g to your clients. I will…

Avoid Firefox 10
Note: Christian had beaten me to this! http://www.artofbi.com/index.php/2012/02/firefox-10-not-compatible-with-oracle-bi-11-1-1-5/
Active Directory Installation
We recently installed a set of new servers at Addidici HQ for testing and development of OBIEE 11g. I wanted to make it more real world so we included Microsoft Active Directory (MSAD) on one of the servers. Having never installed or used MSAD as an administrator previously, I quickly…

Exalytics Details
While I am still trying to figure out if I like the name of the new Oracle BI Box (I suppose Exalytics is better than OBB), more details have emerged. Not only do we have some blogs to read but even a WHITE PAPER. You may have already seen extracts…
Exalytics Launched
There was much speculation before the event (or was it insider info?). Anyway, the big announcement from Oracle Open World (#OOW11) is the new hardware for OBI. Exalytics I am not a great fan of conferences, down time not earning is not my cup of tea, so it’s great to…
