OBIEE 11g and IE9

Posted on January 29, 2012 By Adrian Ward

Just a quick note to say that IE9 does not appear to work with 11g. Viewing Dashboards can work but editing dashboards does not, and BI Publisher wont even start. Best avoided for now, stick with Firefox which works well. @d

Reconfiguring Oracle EM

Posted on November 1, 2011 By Adrian Ward

When running lots of VirtualBox VM’s I often find that during some reconfig the database Enterprise Manager gets in a confused state.  This is usually due to network changes, and most people end up re-installing Oracle.  One solution is to keep snapshots of a working Database set-up but I find…

Steve Jobs

I never got into the Apple Hype, prefering my PC’s for the last 15-20 years. That changed last year when I got a MacBok Pro (I got it in lieu of £2,000 I was owed).  I didn’t really want it but had to find some way of getting my money…

Posted on September 5, 2011 By Adrian Ward

The long awaited Oracle 11g Express is out. I will try it in a couple of VM’s before installing on our production machine here at Addidici. The question will be what integration is there for OBIEE 11g (Repository and Warehouse?) http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/express-edition/downloads/index.html

The Art of Pivoting

Posted on July 12, 2011 By Adrian Ward

One of the nice features of OBIEE is being able to view your data from various angles. A table of data is prefered by some people, but for others they would prefer to see totals by Month, then drill in where they see issues. One of the mistakes I often…

Posted on June 28, 2011 By Adrian Ward

We are pleased to announce the new name in Oracle Business Intelligence – Addidici. Following the legal dispute with RM we have been forced to find a new home for our blog, our company, and our goods friends to find us. It’s a company name that I was toying with…
